New Delhi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, has strongly condemned execution of Mohammad Qamruzzaman, a central leader and Assistant Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat Islami (BJI), and termed it as an extremely unjust and cruel step.

Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Amir (President) of Jamaat said that the way the Sheikh Hasina Wajed govt of Bangladesh is continuing its very cruel course of hanging one after another her own country’s sincere servants of Islam and leaders of BJI, the recent victim of which is the country’s popular leader and famous journalist Kamaruzzaman, clearly shows that the so-called International Crimes Tribunal and courts which are fulfilling illegally, wrongly and unjustly the aspirations of Bangladesh have shelved the requirements of justice and the just teachings of Islam and made their remaining the handmaiden of the despotic govt  their religion.

Maulana expressed his great surprise that Hasina Wajed had formed and run her govt a few years ago in collaboration with the same BJI; at that time she had not seen any amiss in this Islamic party and its leaders, nor had they been considered guilty of 1971 war; but now they are adopting cruel ways of levelling fake and baseless allegations of sorts against those very persons to remove them from the political firmament of the country. Maulana drew the attention of the Govt of India to exert her influence to stop her neighbouring country from these oppressions.
