In Mumbai, Dahi Handi Celebrations are being held with great joy. A Spanish flavour is added to celebrations this year as the famous Spanish group Castellers da Villafranca is competing with local Govinda groups to break the Dahi Handis.
In Gujarat, the main celebrations are being held at Jagatmandir-Dwarka and Lord Ranchhodrai Temple in Dakor. AIR Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that thousands of devotees gathered at Dwarka and Dakor to participate in special Janmashtami Mahotasva to be held at Dwarka during mid night.
In Delhi, devotees of Lord Krishna are thronging temples decorated tastefully for the occasion. Elaborate arrangements have been made to streamline the celebration.
In Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh Janamashtmi is being celebrated with great religious fervour and devotion. The historical temples at Kurukshetra, where Shri Krishna delivered Shri Madbhaghvat Geeta to Arjuna, have been tastefully decorated and thousands of devotees have reached here to celebrate the birthday of Shri Krishna.
The large number of devotees are being witnessed at in the ancient Iscon Temple of Yamunanagar and Radha-Krishan temple of Jagadhari. The Janamashtmi fair have been organised at Rinmochan Tirath in village Raseena of Kaithal district.
In Punjab, large number of people have reached in Durgiana temple , Old Shivala and Ram Tirath in Amritsar and Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar.
