Major Asian stocks ended with losses today except Japan’s Nikkei-225 which surged one and half a percent. South Korea’s Kospi declined 0.6 percent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 0.4 percent. Singapore’s Straits Times fell 0.3 percent and China’s Shanghai Composite index slipped 0.2 percent.

In intra-day trade, European markets were trading in green. France’s CAC-40 surged 1.1 percent, Germany’s DAX gained 0.9 percent and London’s FTSE-100 was trading 0.8 percent up when reports last came in.
