Advani, Union Ministers Krishna Tirath and Ashwani Kumar, members of parliament, former members of parliament, the Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha, Dr. V.K.Agnihotri, and senior officers of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariats were among those who paid floral tributes to the great leader .
On the occasion, a booklet containing the profile of Sarojini Naidu, was also brought out in Hindi and English by the Lok Sabha Secretariat and presented to the dignitaries.
The portrait of Smt. Sarojini Naidu was unveiled by the then President of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad, in the Central Hall of Parliament House on 16 December 1959.
