The Anti-terror Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh on 2nd July 2023, Sunday arrested two persons involved in radicalising people and supporting terrorist activities. These two are said to be associated with terror outfits Hizbull Mujahideen, Al -Qaeda, and Ansar Ghazwatul Hind. One of the arrested persons, Rizwan Khan is a native of the Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir and was working in a factory of the Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh as a security guard. He was active on social media platforms and along with posting radical posts, he was trying to radicalise people for making India an Islamic country. ATS informed that he was in touch with different terror outfits.

Another man Saddam Shaikh is a native of the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh and was working as a driver in a Bengaluru-based company. He was also very active on social media with radical posts and was in touch with Pakistan and Kashmir-based terror outfits.
