Most parts of Rajasthan are under a reel of cold wave and extreme cold. Today, January 17, the minimum temperature in six districts has been recorded below the freezing point.
The minimum temperature was recorded at minus 4.5 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur of Sikar district, while minus 2.7 degrees Celsius in Churu. Apart from this, the minimum temperature was recorded as minus 2 degrees in Mount Abu in the Sirohi district, and minus 0.7 degrees celsius in Karauli, while the night temperature was recorded as minus 0.5 degrees Celsius in Bharatpur and Alwar.
The temperature has been recorded below 3 degree celsius in some other districts. Due to the cold wave, winter vacation in many districts has been extended till tomorrow. At the same time, the timings of schools have also been changed in many districts. Crops have been damaged in many districts due to frost. According to the Met Department, the impact of the cold wave is expected to continue in the state tomorrow too.
