Nearly 11 lakh people were given the COVID-19 vaccine during the day in Maharashtra, setting a new record. According to an official from the state health department, 10 lakh 96 thousand people were given shots of COVID-19 vaccine.
Taking note of the impressive work done by the officials in vaccinating record number of people in a single day, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and health minister Rajesh Tope have applauded the health department officials and have thanked them.
Tope said that the health officials have shown that more than 10 lakh people can be vaccinated in a single day in the state.
