Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy will throw open to the public, Vedha Nilayam, the residence of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa tomorrow morning. Mr. Palanisami inaugurated Jayalalithaa’s memorial built at a cost of 79 crores at Marina Beach this morning.

AIR Correspondent reports, the abode of Jayalalithaa has been a mystical place as far as scores of AIADMK cadres are concerned. The doors of the famous Veda Nilayam entrance will open to everyone tomorrow.

Recounting the days before the charismatic leader Amma passed away, it was here at Poes Garden residence alliances were finalised to contest the elections and announced. Journos and leaders of political parties, including powerful cadres of the party would wait for hours and sometimes days for the door to open.

It looked like a drama when the door would open and journos would crazily rush to get the announcements. The residence has been taken over by the State Government and it would be reopened for the general public. For AIADMK cadres it would be the temple where their favourite Amma abode.
