Seven bills were passed in the opening week of the ongoing Parliament session which began on Monday, April 25. Parliamentary Affairs Ministry said, three bill were passed by Lok Sabha and four by Rajya Sabha.
The bills were passed despite the row over imposition of President’s Rule in Uttarakhand and alleged pay-offs in AgustaWestland Case.
The Bills passed by Lok Sabha were the Sikh Gurudwaras (Amendment) Bill, 2016 the Regional Centre for Bio-technology Bill,2016 and the Appropriation (Railways) No.2 Bill,2016.
Rajya Sabha passed the Appropriation Acts (Repeal) Bill,2015, The Repealing and Amending (Third) Bill,2015, The Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Bill,2016 and The Industries (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill,2015 last week.
The Ministry said, financial business is the main agenda for next week.
