The Cabinet sub-committee on scarcity situation has declared 623 villages of Gujarat as scarcity affected. These villages will be supplied fodder on same rate as water scarcity hit areas. Among these villages, 64 are in Porbandar district, 190 in Jamnagar district, 68 in Devbhumi Dwarka district and 301 in Kutch district.
State Agriculture Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama has said that the committee will take further decisions after getting reports from district collectors of Banaskantha, Patan and Amreli.
