Shunglu Committee submits more reports to PMO

According to official sources, he Prime Minister’s office will go through the report and decide on the follow-up action. The reports deal with several shortcomings of the government officials and irregularities by contractors in executing works for Commonwealth Games projects in October last year.

The Committee has already submitted three other reports which deal with broadcasting deals by Prasar Bharati, Construction of Games Village and city related infrastructure projects. As a follow-up, the Central Bureau of Investigation has filed an FIR against the then CEO of Prasar Bharati B.S. Lali.

In its report on games village and city infrastructure, the Shunglu panel has named Lt. Governor of Delhi Tejender Khanna and Chief Minister Mrs. Sheila Dikshit. Delhi Chief Minister on Monday met the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and clarified on the objections by the Shunglu Committee.
