Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said the new Parliament building will make every Indian proud. In a tweet, Mr. Modi shared a video which offers a glimpse of the iconic building. He requested people to share this video with their own voice-overs, which conveys their thoughts. He asked people to use the hashtag #MyParliamentMyPride. Prime Minister will retweet some of them.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and dedicate the newly constructed Parliament Building to the Nation tomorrow.
The entire premises, sprawling across 65 thousand square meters, integrate regional arts, crafts, and cultural motifs, honouring the diversity and vibrancy that define modern India.This magnificent structure represents not only progress but also the evolving spirit of the nation.
The new Parliament Building is an architectural marvel and stands as a proud symbol of the nation’s progress. While its interiors are a vibrant celebration of the country’s rich cultural heritage, the modern office spaces incorporate the latest technological advancements, enabling seamless connectivity and productivity for parliamentarians.
The Lok Sabha Hall, which has expanded threefold, provides ample space for 888 seats. Adorned with meticulously detailed artwork inspired by the national bird Peacock, the Lok Sabha hall reflects a sense of reverence and power. Adjacent to the Lok Sabha Hall is the Rajya Sabha Hall, which now boasts an increased seating capacity of 384.
The Committee rooms feature advanced audio-visual systems that facilitate glitch-free discussions and deliberations. Likewise, as a beacon of knowledge, the new Parliament Library ensures accessibility for lawmakers and researchers to the wealth of information and archival materials. This new Parliament Building also emphasises environmental sustainability and has received a platinum rating for green buildings. Moreover, inclusivity is at the core of the new Parliament Building, as it is divyang-friendly, ensuring accessibility for all. With its captivating design, advanced amenities, and commitment to sustainability, the new Parliament Building is a glitter of hope, guiding us towards a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous India.
Boycott call by some parties
As many as 19 Opposition parties have issued a joint statement announcing their decision to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 28 May.
The parties that have signed the joint statement are – Congress, DMK, Aam Aadmi Party, Shiv Sena (UBT), Samajwadi Party, CPI, CPI-M, JMM, Kerala Congress-Mani, Viduthalai Chiruthegal Katchi, Rashtriya Lok Dal, Trinamool Congress, Janata Dal (United), NCP, RJD, IUML, National Conference, Revolutionary Socialist Party, and Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
