Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the past nine years of the Modi government have brought prosperity and ensured the welfare of the country.

Addressing a public meeting in Durg city in Chhattisgarh today, he emphasized that the NDA government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has implemented numerous measures to benefit the poor during this period. He said providing tap water to impoverished households, constructing toilets, distributing gas cylinders; offering five kilograms of free food grains, improving healthcare facilities, and ensuring access to electricity were among the initiatives.

The Union Minister highlighted that the Modi Government has remained free from any corruption allegations over the past nine years.

Mr Shah accused the Congress government in Chhattisgarh of indulging in various scams amounting to thousands of crores, such as liquor, coal, and PSC scams. He claimed that the State’s Congress government has failed to fulfill its promises to the people, including implementing liquor bans and generating employment, despite making such commitments during the assembly elections.

Regarding the procurement of paddy at the support price, Mr Shah stated that the Central Government provided seventy-four thousand crore rupees, which facilitated the purchase of ninety percent of the paddy in Chhattisgarh. The Union Home Minister alleged that due to the corruption within the Congress government in Chhattisgarh, people are being deprived of the full benefits of the central government’s welfare schemes.

During his visit, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid a visit to Padmashree Usha Barle, a renowned Pandwani singer and folk artist, at her home in Durg district.
