Guru Gobind Singh Ji Shukrana Ceremony ends in Patna

The three day Shukrana Ceremony of year long 350th Birth Anniversary of founder of Khalsa Sect and Dashmesh Guru of Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj concluded here today.

Guru Gobind Singh JiEarlier in January this year Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the year long celebrations at Patna.

The 351st birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh was also observed at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurdwara in old city Patna Sahib on Monday.

Governor of Bihar Satypal Malik, Union Ministers Harsimarat Kaur Badal, S.S. Ahluwalia and former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbeer Singh Badal also paid Ardas at holy shrine on Monday.

Several religious, musical and spiritual programmes were organized during the three day Shukarana Ceremony, in which Bihar exhibited its core competence in terms of its soft power, the cultural richness.

Thousands of devotees who came from different parts of the country and abroad paid their obeisance today on the 351st birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib.

It was like emergence of sea of humanity at holy shrine and nearby makeshift gurdwara at Tent City in Patna Sahib.

Sonorous Shabad Kirtan, Gurbani and recitation of Guru Katha by different groups at special conclave mesmerized the devotees.

The ritual of 351st Prakash Utsav (birth anniversary) of Guru Maharaj would be held at midnight at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, the birth place of Dashmesh Guru. (the 10th Guru).
