The withdrawal of nominations ended today for Assembly elections in Karnataka. The state will go to polls on the May 12th.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a series of rallies in Karnataka beginning May 1 for assembly elections. BJP State General Secretary Shobha Karandlaje said that Prime Minister is scheduled to address public rallies in Chamrajnagar, Udupi and Belagavi districts on the 1st of May.

BJP is organising Mahila Jagruthi interaction across the state tomorrow in which Union ministers Nirmala Sitaraman, Smriti Irani, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyothi and spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi and others will take part. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be on state wide tour from tomorrow. He will hit the campaign trail from Belagavi and travel south in the next ten days.

KPCC Campaign committee Chairman DK Shivakumar has informed that the Chief Electoral Office has stayed advertisements released by BJP allegedly giving false information about the state government programmes. Speaking to media persons today he charged that BJP is spreading false information among voters.
