US President Donald Trump walked out of a meeting with top Democratic leaders yesterday after they refused to allocate 5.7 billion US dollars for the US-Mexico border wall plan. Trump ended talks after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer stuck by their refusal to fund the wall.
In a tweet, Trump called his meeting with the pair a total waste of time. Meanwhile, Pelosi told reporters that the US President seems to be insensitive to thousands of unpaid federal employees. The partial government shutdown enters its 20th day today.
Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!
