United States House Intelligence Committee has issued subpoenas to former national security adviser Michael Flynn and President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, as part of its probe into the Russian role during the last year Presidential election.

The subpoenas or summon first issued by the House panel has demanded their testimony, as well as documents from their businesses.

The committee is one of several probes into alleged meddling by Moscow in the last year’s election and any collusion with the Trump campaign. All the allegations have been dismissed by Mr Trump as fake news.

BBC reports that subpoenas reportedly was also issued to the CIA, the National Security Agency and the FBI seeking records related to the unmasking of Trump associates accidentally picked up in intercepted conversations.

on the other hand, CNN reports that subpoenas come a day after Cohen said he would not cooperate with congressional investigators.
