Rains for the last several days and water coming from upper hilly tract region and Nepal have caused flood in various areas in Uttar Pradesh. According to State Relief department six hundred sixty five villages of 15 district are affected by flood out of which 391 villages are inundated.
The districts that are most affected are Ambedkar Nagar ,Ayodhya ,Azamgarh,
Bahraich ,Baliya ,Barabanki,Basti ,Devriya ,Gonda ,Gorakhpur ,Lakhimpur khiri ,Kushinagar ,Mau and Sitapur.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath yesterday had a video conference with district magistrates, CMOs and officials of departments related to flood and relief and issued necessary constructions.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while video conference with district magistrates and public representatives of hyper sensitive and sensitive districts for flood instructed that financial assistance for loss should be given to the flood effected people within 24 hours. He also instructed that Ration Kits should be distributed to all families suffering from natural calamity .
The Chief Minister said that there is no scarcity of fund for flood relief work but no laxity and negligence in relief work will be tolerated at all. He instructed medical teams to visit flood affected areas regularly.
Mr Yogi said that people whose houses have been damaged in flood should be given houses under Prime Minister House scheme or Chief minister House scheme.
According to relief Commissioner Office 779 boats have been pressed into service to ferry affected people in flooded areas and 268 mobile medical teams have also been deployed . Fifteen teams of NDRF and SDRF including 17 PAC companies have been put on duty for relief work.
