United Arab Emirates will open three new consular offices in India soon. UAE Ambassador to India said that the new offices will be located in Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad. At present there are three consular offices which are functioning in Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.
Opening of three new consular offices will take the total number of the UAE consular offices in India to six. The UAE opened its new Consulate General at Thiruvananthapuram, in October 2016.
The initiative reflects the growing bilateral relations between the two countries, which have been on the upswing ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited UAE in 2015.
