5 killed, Security forces rushed to the spot; PM monitoring situation,

Terrorists in Army Uniform attacked Dinanagar Police station in Punjab’s border district of Gurdaspur early morning today. Official sources said that armed men who are said to be 4 to 5 in number have entered the police station and opened fire.
Exchange of fire between the terrorists and police personnel was on till writing this report.
These armed men had earlier shot at a dhaba owner and taken his car. They also fired upon a bus injuring some passengers. Gurdaspur Senior Medical Officer said that seven persons including three police men and four bus passengers have reached civil hospital with bullet injuries.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has instructed the Border Security Force to step up the vigil on India-Pakistan border in the wake of attack in Gurudaspur district of Punjab. In a tweet, Mr Singh said, he spoked to DG, BSF D K Pathak in this regard.
Home Minister said that he was monitoring the situation and he was confident that the situation will be soon brought under control. Mr Singh said, Security forces have been rushed to the spot. He also spoke to Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Home Secretary and National Security Advisor (NSA) regarding the situation in Gurudaspur. Home Secretary is also coordinating with Punjab Police Chief. Army has reached the spot and has cordoned the entire area with Police and is trying to get hold of the terrorists. According to sources, some live bombs have also been recovered from Pathankot railway line.
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that special forces to combat terrorism have been asked to rush to Punjab following the terror attack in the state. Talking to media outside Parliament Mr. Parrikar, however, refused to divulge further details saying the operation is still underway.
