Archana Patil Chakurkar, daughter-in-law of former Lok Sabha speaker Shivraj Patil joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The induction took place in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadanvis and State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
Ms. Archana, who chairs Lifecare Hospital and Research Centre in Udgir, met Fadnavis at his Mumbai residence ‘Sagar’ before joining.
Her husband, Shailesh Patil Chandurkar, is the Congress’ state secretary.
