Scrutiny of nominations for the second and final phase of Gujarat Assembly elections will be held today. 93 of the 182 constituencies will go to polls in the second phase on the 14th of next month. Yesterday was the last day of filing of nominations, while the candidature can be withdrawn till Thursday.
Meanwhile, campaigning has gained momentum for the first phase in which 89 seats will go to polls on the 9th of next month. Senior leaders of various political parties, including BJP and Congress, are leaving no stone unturned to woo the voters.
The counting of votes for both the phases will be taken up on the 18th of next month, along with Himachal Pradesh.
