Former AIADMK leader V K Sasikala has been granted parole to attend her husband M Natarajan’s funeral and last rites in Tanjavur.
Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara jail authorities have issued 15 days parole to Sasikala. She is serving a four-year sentence, as a convict in a disproportionate assets case since last year.
The parole is given on the condition that Sasikala does not leave Tanjavur and is also barred from interaction with media and other persons. She will also not be able to involve in political or public activities.
Sasikala’s husband M Natarajan passed away early Tuesday in Chennai. After the grant of parole, Sasikala left for Tanjavur to be present during the last rites of her husband.
