Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made some major changes in his cabinet on the basis of performance of ministers. He also inducted 19 new ministers to his government.

HRD minister Smirti Irani has been stripped of her ministry and allotted Textile ministry to her. Parkash Javedkar will be new HRD minister.

Venkaiah Naidu is the new I&B Minister. Sadananda Gowda given Statistics and Programme Implementation. Ravi Shankar Prasad given Law and Justice Department.
