President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, arrived in Delhi today on an eight day visit to India. President Rivlin is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising of officials, academicians and business leaders.

israeli-president-visit-indiaHe will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow. He will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee, on whose invitation he is visiting the country.

Vice President Hamid Ansari and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will call on the visiting dignitary.

During the visit, Mr Rivlin is likely to meet business leaders of both of India and Israel. He will also visit Centre of Excellence in Agriculture in Karnal and participate in Agro Tech – 2016. He will also visit the Taj Mahal during his stay.

Our correspondent reports India and Israel have excellent relations in the areas of economy and commerce, science and technology, research and innovation, culture, tourism, and education.
