Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that time has come for Global community to move beyond words and act unitedly against menace of terrorism.

Addressing the joint press conference after delegation level talks with South Korean President Moon Jae In in Seoul, he said that India and Korea are committed to further strengthen bilateral and international coordination against terrorism. Prime Minister thanked President Moon for his support to India after Pulwama terror attack.

He further said that both the countries have also agreed for a roadmap in Defense technology and co-production. Prime Minister invited Korean companies to invest in defense industrial corridors in India.

PM also said that convergence of India’s Act East policy and Korea’s New Southern Policy will deepen the Special Strategic partnership between both the countries. He emphasised that Indo-Pacific region should be based on centrality of ASEAN and tenets of inclusiveness and shared prosperity.

Prime Minister added that Korean model of development is best suited for India. He said that India and Korea are committed to take the bilateral trade to 50 billion dollars by 2030 and both the countries have agreed to cooperate in the fields of infrastructure, port led development, food processing and start ups.

7 agreements between India and Korea were also signed including collaboration in startups,combating trans-border and international crimes and cooperation between Prasar Bharti and Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) to facilitate broadcast of DD India Channel in South Korea and KBS World Channel in India.
