Aligarh: The biggest problem Indian Muslims are facing today is that they are not real Muslim. They have distanced themselves from Islam said Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University ( MAANU ) Hyderabad Zafar Sareshwala while addressing a seminar , ” Problems of Muslims & Our responsibilities ” held at Jamia Urdu Aligarh on its 76th. Foundation day today. He said that there is no iota of doubt that presently Muslims are at disadvantaged position economically , politically and socially but to sole them first they must become true Muslims. Citing the example of Prophet of Islam and his companions, Zafar Sareshwala said that the Muslims have duty to solve the problems of their neighbours and other communities which will transform their image. About Prime Minister Narendra Modi he said that even Prime Minister Modi accepts that the Muslims have been deprived off and they must be given equal opportunities. He said that Narendar Modi really desires development of Muslims with all other communities as without their development the nation cannot develop.
Earlier welcoming Zafar Sareshwala and other eminent speakers and audience , the Director of Jamia Urdu Aligarh , Dr. Jasim Mohammad said that as today`s Muslims are facing many problems and have no direction to move , so , Sir Syed Ahmad Khan had also faced same situation after 1857 mutiny . But Sir Syed did not dejected and established MAO College so that Muslims may educationally empower themselves. Citing the example of Zafar Sareshwala , Dr. Jasim Mohammad said that Zafar Sareshwala had lost everything in 2002 Gujarat riots but he did not only wept over his destruction and moved with courage ahead.
OSD , Jamia Urdu , Farhat Ali Khan said that the Jamia Urdu Aligarh has ensured life to Urdu language since 76 years. He said that the Congress had heaped upon Urdu more injustice than any other political party .He pointed out that when any political party forms the government at centre , its ideology goes in background and as citizen of India we have to demand our rights from BJP government.
Elaborating on the history of Jamia Urdu Aligarh , Registrar Shamoon Raza Naqvi said that there is dire need of spreading education among the Muslims .
Prof. Humayun Murad said that if Muslims develop merit among themselves then nobody will be able to ignore them. He appealed that the central government led by Prime Minister Narendar Modi should implement Rangnath Mishra Commission Report .
Delivering presidential address, Prof Razaullah Khan said that the issues to which Zafar Sareshwala has indicated are very important. Muslims should unite and end their intra -community disputes to move ahead on developmental path . PRESS RELEASE
