Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina this evening, to attend the 13th G 20 summit.

The summit is likley to focuss on building consensus for a fair and sustainable development in Agriculture as put forth by the host country which chairs the event.

Indian Ambassador to Argentina told official media that sustainable agriculture, which is one of the immediate concern for developing countries, will be one of the main topics during the G-20 Summit.

He said, soil erosion has affected 10 million hectares of agricultural lands annually all over the world.

 

Mr Rajan said, Argentina has been utilising modern technology in providing impetus to soil health to enhance productivity.

The Prime Minister is expected to highlight problems of oil price volatility which has a direct impact on the Indian economy in the G 20 platform. Digital revolution and skill India are also among the issues to be discussed during the summit.

On the sidelines of the summit, Mr Modi will witness a mega yoga event this evening and will be meeting with several leaders including Chinese President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, UN Secretary-General Antonia Gutteres and others. He will also meet the BRICS heads of state and governments.
