Both the houses of Parliament continued to witness uproarious scene and disruptions over Pegasus snooping, farm laws and other issues for the fifth consecutive day today. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day at 2.45 while the Rajya Sabha at 4 P.M.
In the Lok Sabha, when the House met for the day, members from Congress, DMK, TMC, Akali Dal and other parties trooped in the well protesting over these issues. Amid noisy scene Speaker Om Birla tried to run the Question Hour. The Speaker repeatedly urged protesting members to return to their seats and let the House function. He said the Government is ready to reply the issues being raised by opposition members.
Earlier Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2.45 p.m. while Rajya Sabha till 3 p.m.
As soon as Rajya Sabha reassembled after first adjournment at 12 noon, members from Congress, TMC, Left, DMK and Aam Aadmi Party trooped into the well raising slogans against the government over Pegasus snooping. The MPs from SP, BSP, NCP, RJD and Shiv Sena were also on their feet. Amid ruckus, Deputy Chairman tried to run Question Hour. He repeatedly asked order in the House but protesting members did not pay heed.
In the morning, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu rejected the adjournment motions moved by the opposition members on Pegasus snooping, farm laws and other issues. After that the members from Congress, TMC, Left and others trooped into the well raising slogans. The Chairman expressed displeasure over the continuous disruption in the House saying due to it important issues could not be discussed. Later, the House was adjourned till 12 noon.
Earlier, on the 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, both the Houses paid tributes to brave soldiers who made supreme sacrifice. The Chairman of the Upper House said their saga of unparalleled valour will continue to inspire the generations to come. The members of both the Houses also observed two minutes silence. Both the Houses also congratulated ace weightlifter Mirabai Chanu for winning silver medal in Tokyo Olympics.
