A team of National Investigation Agency NIA has rushed to Bihar to probe the involvement of Pakistan intelligence agency ISI in the recent train accident near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The Indore-Patna Express went off the tracks near Kanpur Dehat in Pukhrayan on November 21. Derailment had claimed 148 lives, mostly passengers.

NiABihar Police has also sought the help of Intelligence Bureau and Research and Analysis Wing in the matter. A team of Uttar Pradesh ATS has already arrived in Motihari and started a probe in this regard. They are interrogating three criminals who were arrested by Motihari Police.

Earlier, East Champaran SP Jitendra Rana said during interrogation the trio had confessed to having worked for a Nepalese contact supposedly linked to ISI to target the Railways.

Additional Director General of Police Sunil Kumar told media that criminals have confessed to the fact that they were paid money by a Nepalese who is under custody of Nepal police right now. He said, the arrested persons have confessed their involvement in the derailment of Indore-Patna Express near Kanpur.
