The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained six persons over suspected links with terror outfit ISIS. Sources said, five were detained at Panur in Kannur district of Kerala. Later, one more person was nabbed based on the information received from the detained.

The detainees, who hail from Vadakara in Kozhikode, were taken into custody after tracking their mobile signals.National Investigation Agency sources said that the link of the youth with the extremist group can be asserted completely only after further investigations.

At the same time it is evident that the men were indulged in unlawful activities. The local police do not have any information regarding the link between the arrested and the extremist organization.

Police and the investigation agency have intensified search in various places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu based on the information received. Investigation is on by the police and NIA about the missing of 21 persons including women and children from north Kerala who are suspected to have joined the terror outfit, ISIS. The case was registered in last July.
