Vice President Venkaiah Naidu who have been sulking after being left out by the NDA government for the post of President may get another term in the office as Vice President.

According to the source, the party is thinking to renominate him as vice president and offer him second term.

If BJP fields Mr Naidu then opposition camp may not put up their candidate and he may emerged as consensus candidate, said a source

For Vice President election, only members from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha votes and elect vice president.

NDA have prerequisite numbers for the election to Vice President.

In the past UPA government had renominated Mr Hamid Ansari as Vice President and offered him second term in the office.

The nomination for the vice president election will start from june 5.
