Four out of five major Asian indices ended with gains today. Japan’s Nikkei climbed over 1.9 percent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.7 percent, Singapore’s Straits Times index gained 0.17 percent, and South Korea’s Kospi added 0.14 percent. Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index shed over 1.2 percent. Major European indices were trading mixed. France’s CAC rose over half percent, and Germany’s DAX gained 0.3 percent, while London’s FTSE was trading 0.22 percent down, when reports last came in.
