In yet another incident of mob lynching, a 16-year-old boy was beaten to death allegedly over suspicion of being a thief. The incident took place in northwest Delhi’s Mukundpur area in the early hours of Tuesday.
While police have arrested three men in connection with the death, three others are still on the run, suggest reports. DCP Northwest Aslam Khan told media that the boy entered a house with the intention of stealing valuables and was caught in the act by the owner of the house who along with others, thrashed the boy to death.
The boy’s kin recovered his body from near their residence and reported the matter to the police. The boy was reportedly found with his hands and legs tied. The boy’s uncle told police that he had arrived in the city about 15 days back and apart from studying at a local madrassa, he was also working at an electrical goods repair shop.Those accused have been identified as Nand Kishore, Raj Kishore, Triveni, Deshraj, Sohan Lal and Sant Lal. times now
