The left alliance in Nepal is heading for a massive victory in Parliamentary and provencial elections. Of the 165 constituencies of the House of Representatives, results of 95 seats have been declared, so far.

The Left alliance has won 74 and is leading in 48. CPN (UML) has won 52 and is leading in 30. Its partner CPN (Maoist Centre) has got 22 and is ahead in 19. Ruling Nepali Congress has got just 11 seats and is leading in 11.

Two major parties of Madhes, Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal (RJPN) has won 3 seats and leading in 8, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) has also got 3 and ahead in 7 constituencies.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has been elected from Dadeldhura parliamentary constituency. Former Prime Minister and Naya Shakati Party Nepal Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai has also won from Gorkha-2.

RJPN presidium member and senior party leader Rajender Mahto has won from Dhanusa-3 parliamentary seat.

Meanwhile, out of 330, results of 146 seats of state assemblies have also been declared. Left alliance has won 126 and leading in 74. Nepali Congress got 25 and ahead in 16 places. Others have won 15 and leading in 13 constituencies.

The elections for the House of Representatives and state assemblies in 7 provinces were held in two phases.
