Kamlesh Tiwari’s mother, Kusum who met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that the meeting with Yogi Adityanath was not satisfying and they would pick up swords if justice is not done in the murder case.
Speaking to media Tiwari’s mother said, “I am not satisfied after meeting Yogi Adityanath”
Kusum Tiwari has also alleged that the policemen had been repeatedly pressurizing the family to meet Yogi Adityanath. “The family was forcefully brought to Lucknow” she said.
“We are not satisfied with the meeting. If we do not get justice [in the Kamlesh Tiwari murder case], we will pick up swords,” she said.
Kamlesh Tiwari’s mother earlier rejected the claims made by the Uttar Pradesh Police that it had “solved” the Kamlesh Tiwari murder case and said it was the state administration that “betrayed” their family by not providing adequate security cover, despite repeated requests.
Yogi Adityanath on Sunday met the family of Kamlesh Tiwari, chief of a little-known Hindu outfit who was murdered two days ago. Tiwari’s mother, his wife, and three sons spent some 30 minutes with the chief minister at his official residence in Lucknow.
Hindu Samaj Party chief Kamlesh Tiwari (45), earlier associated with a faction of the Hindu Mahasabha, was killed at his home in Khurshed Bagh on Friday. His cremation was delayed as his family members were adamant on meeting the chief minister to put forth their nine demands, including a probe by the National Investigation Agency, government job for one of the victim’s sons and security for them.
Kusum Tiwari also alleged that it was after Yogi Adityanath became the state’s chief minister that Kamlesh Tiwari’s security was “drastically reduced”.
“Under the previous government, my son had a security cover of around 17 cops. When Yogi Adityanath became CM, it was first reduced to eight-nine and then to four. Two of them followed my son wherever he went while two would be stationed at his office. But on the day my son was murdered, surprisingly none of the four security guards was with him,” she said.
