Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, Jai Prakash Agrawal has intensified his campaigning as the election dates approach

Intensifying his campaign for the Lok Sabha Elections, former MP and Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat, Jai Prakash Agrawal conducted a Padyatra as part of his voters’ reach out programme. His Padyatra covered the areas of Jama Masjid, Matia Mahal, Urdu Market, Chikti Kabra, Turkman Gate and appealed the people of Chandni Chowk to vote for him.

Former MLA from Matia Mahal constituency Shoaib Iqbal, district president Mohammed Usman and other dignitaries participated in the Padyatra in support of JP Agrawal. They exuded confidence that the people of Chandni Chowk are going to vote in favour of the Congress party.

During his Padyatra, JP Agrawal claimed, “This year’s election is witnessing a Congress wave in the country. The country doesn’t run on rhetoric. I am confident that people of Chandni Chowk will offer complete support to the Congress Party. The BJP-led government at Centre will be voted out of power this time. I am not going to make false claims to the people.”

Mr Agrawal added further, “It is not easy to do business in India. A trader goes through a lot while setting up his business, he sometimes has to mortgage his property to get the money, take loans from the bank. When the business gets affected, a trader plunges into debt and might even lose his property to clear the debts.”

“Both BJP at centre and AAP in the state have been involved in cat fights but they never really thought about the well being of the business class. Sealing too affects a trader badly for their shops are the only source of income. Congress party has always stood by the side of traders and if voted to power it will once again live up to its promise,” he added further.

Haider Ali who is a resident of Chandni Chowk said, “JP Agrawal has done a lot of good work in our constituency and we are convinced that he will work in future as well for the well being of his Parliamentary seat. We hope that he will definitely bring ‘Achhe Din’ in our constituency.”
