Three militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Tral area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. Three AK 47 Rifles and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site. The gunfight broke out after Army and J&K Police launched an operation in Mir Mohalla of Dadsara village late yesterday evening.
An Army spokesman told media that three militants killed belonged to militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. Similar phenomenon was witnessed last month after militants took refuge in a govt building in Pampore area of Pulwama district. The attack on CRPF convoy and later 48 hour long standoff in Pampore left two Army captains, a Commando, two CRPF personnel, three foreign militants and a civilian dead.
