Two CRPF personnel were injured after unidentified terrorists attacked security forces party near Tahab Chowk in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Monday evening.

Security sources told media that terrorists lobbed a hand grenade towards joint party of CRPF and Police that exploded near security bunker inflicting splinter injuries to at least two CRPF personnel. Sources said terrorists also fired some shots towards the security party.

The injured personnel were shifted to the hospital for treatment.A manhunt was launched to nab the attackers. This is the 11th grenade attack on security forces during past 4 days.

Earlier, during the day unknown terrorists lobbed a hand grenade at Batapora Chowk in south Kashmir’s Shopian district that caused injuries to at least 16 persons including 12 civilians and four police personnel. Among civilians two women including a young girl also sustained injuries. The girl sustaining grievous injuries was shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment.
