Jats agitation in Haryana  put off till April 3 Haryana Jat leaders have postponed their agitation till April 3. The Agitating leaders have now extended their deadline to 31st March for the state Govt to present the Jat Reservation bill in the Haryana Assembely .

Amid apprehension of the repeat of the Jat Quota stir and to prevent any unlawful assembly, alert has been sounded and section 144 has been imposed in Rohtak, Hisar and other adjoining districts of Haryana.

Meanwhile Delhi has asked Haryana to take stringent measures to restore peace and normalcy in the state unlike during the previous stir that erupted into violaant protests claiming several lives .

The scare of another round of Jat agitation in Haryana is averted for the time being.

Community leaders announced that no protest will be held till April 3 if the state government gets the reservation bill passed in Assembly during the ongoing session that ends on March 31.

The announcement was made by All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti President Yashpal Malik after talks with Haryana Chief Secretary and DGP.

The administration has undertaken all the necessary measures to avert another round of violent agitation, as was the case last time.

As a precaution, section 144 has been imposed in Sonepat.

Mobile internet services are suspended in Jajjhar, sonepat and Rohtak. People have been asked not gather in groups in the sensitive areas of Jind.

Army has been deployed at the Munak Canal that supplies water to Delhi.

This canal was badly damaged during the previous agitation that resulted in a serious water crisis in the capital. For now, people of Haryana have a got relief till Apr 3rd.
