Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) has condemned the alleged brutal rape and murder of Delhi’s civil defence worker Sabiya Saifi (Rabiya Saifi). JIH Women’s Wing Secretary Mrs. Rahmatunnisa condemned the alleged brutal rape and murder of Delhi’s civil defence worker Rabiya Saifi and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and ex-gratia payment to her family members.
Mrs. Rahmatunnisa said, “news reports about family members not being satisfied with the course and speed of investigation should be verified through an impartial probe. It is a sad reality that despite so much rhetoric about ‘Beti Bachao’, we have failed to create a climate in which our girls and women feel safe and secure in their workplace and outdoors. JIH hopes the government, law enforcement agencies, lawmakers, the judiciary and concerned citizens will chalk out new policies for the protection and security of our women so that they can accomplish their potential without fear of being stalked, harassed and losing their lives to crimes that put humanity to shame”.
Rabia Saifi (Sabiya Saifi) case
Rabia Saifi (Sabiya Saifi) is a 21-year-old girl from Sangam Vihar who worked as civil defence worker under Delhi was brutally murdered in Faridabad, Haryana.
It has been told by Rabia’s family members (mother, father and brother) that as usual, Rabia went on duty on 26 August 2021. But did not return till late at night 8:00 Rabia also called for home but could not pick up the call due to some reason. When Rabia got too late and she did not return home, the family members became very worried. When the call was made for Rabia, her mobile was switched off. And when Rabia was seen going to the office, it came to know that there is no Rabia there.

In Faridabad, the police get all of a girl and it was all of a girl named Rabia. After this, the police sent all of them for post-mortem, after the post-mortem was handed over to the family members.
Rabia’s family members say that when Rabia’s body was found, there were many stab wounds on her body. There were also knife marks on Rabia’s face. That is why the family members say that Rabia was gang-raped and then murdered. Jagan has also accused some people of being involved in the crime by Rabia’s family.
