To challenge imposition of President’s rule in High Court

The Congress Party today termed the imposition of president rule in Uttrakhand as ‘Murder of Democracy’ and has decided to challenge the centre’s decision in High Court.
It has charged the Narendra Modi government with making an assault on the democracy by imposing President’s rule in Uttarakhand.
Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesman Shakeel Ahmed said, NDA government has become nervous and therefore it imposed President’s in a haste. He said, the Congress will raise the issue in the Parliament and every political forum.
Party has decided to challenge the imposition of President’s rule in the Uttarakhand High Court. Talking to media in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Kapil Sibal said, the party will move the court against the Centre’s decision and request to withdraw President’s rule. He also questioned the validity of imposition of the President’s rule, saying that the question of constitutional breakdown does not arise.
Mr Sibal also charged the BJP with attempting to completely wipe out Congress from the country.
IN DEHRADUN Chief Minister Harish Rawat today condemned the imposition of President’s rule in the state as a “murder” of democracy and the Constitution and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hands were dipped in the “blood” of the “trampled” aspirations of the people.
