Intense Cold wave conditions continued to prevail over North India particularly in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, North West Rajasthan, North East Madhya Pradesh and North Chhattisgarh.
As many as 13 trains coming to Delhi were delayed as thick fog engulfed the national capital and its surrounding areas today. According to the weather department, the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 6 degrees Celsius.
The maximum was recorded 19.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below normal. In the coming week, the minimum temperature is likely to range between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall next week.
The air quality in the national capital continued to remain poor. According to Central Pollution Control Board the Air Quality Index was recorded at 247 this evening which falls in the poor category.
