India’s trade deficit with China has declined from 53.57 billion US Dollars in 2018-19 to 44.02 billion US Dollars in 2020-2021.This information was given in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel.

To a question whether India is considering to maintain a separate negative list of items on which it will give limited or no tariff concessions to Chinese imports under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) trade agreements, the Minister said New Delhi has not joined the RCEP trade agreement signed by 15 countries in November last year.
