Indian national Uzma who accused a Pakistani man of forcing her at gunpoint to marry him, returned to India this morning. Uzma, who was allowed by the Islamabad Hight Court yesterday to return to India, came back via Wagah border. She was escorted by the officials of the Indian High Commission.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in a tweet welcomed her. Welcoming India’s daughter, she expressed regret for all that she went through. Uzma’s brother, who had sought the Government’s help in rescuing her, praised the minister for her help. He said, she has done the impossible.
