India has expressed concern over North Korea conducting nuclear test. Replying to a media query, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said India is assessing the available information, including claims that this was a thermo-nuclear test.
Mr Swarup said, it is a matter of deep concern that Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) has again acted in violation of its international commitments in this regard. India called upon DPRK to refrain from such actions which adversely impact peace and stability in the region. The spokesperson said, India’s concerns about proliferation links between North East Asia and its neighbourhood are well-known.
