Twelve of total 24 districts of Jharkhand are witnessing continuous rain for last three days because of influence of cyclon Komen. All major rivers of the state are flowing above danger marks, and few small bridges have been damaged in some parts of the state. In Mandar of Ranchi district, one person died due to wall collapse. Administration has asked all the schools of Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Lohardagga to remain closed today due to heavy rain.

State disaster management department has been put on high alert. All major community centers in affected districts are being readied to function as relief camps if need so arise. Control rooms in each district are being operationalised.
