The Government of India has prohibited the manufacture, sale or distribution of 328 Fixed Dose Combinations (FDCs) for human use with immediate effect.
FDCs are two or more drugs combined in a fixed ratio into a single dosage form. The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has also restricted the manufacture, sale or distribution of six other FDCs subject to certain conditions.
