In the backdrop of ongoing 46th IFFI, the protesting Film and Television Institute of India students have announced to hold a parallel film festival on Tuesday and Wednesday in Panaji, about a kilometre away from the venue of the ongoing IFFI.
Criticizing the handling of their issue, the students said they were participating in 46th IFFI as a part of their academic curriculum. They claimed that they are not doing anything illegal by being in Panaji at IFFI time. They objected claiming the policemen interrogate them while attending the screening of the IFFI films.
