Four wanted criminals from Bihar were killed during an exchange of fire by the joint team of Crime Branch Delhi Police and Bihar Police in Rohini area of the national capital in the intervening night of 22nd and 23rd October.

Joint CP (Crime) Delhi Police Surender Kumar informed in a media interaction in New Delhi that the criminals, all belonging to the Ranjan Pathak gang, were booked in multiple cases of murder and extortion in Bihar. The location of the criminals was being constantly monitored and tracked, when they were intercepted by the police at about 2 am last night on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg in Rohini, under Begumpur police station limits.

On being asked to stop, the criminals opened fire on the police and the police team returned fire in self-defence, resulting in injuries to all four of them. The injured criminals were then immediately shifted to a hospital in Rohini where the doctors declared them dead. The police team recovered four semi-automatic pistols, one country-made pistol, and a Baleno car.
